Engineered Timber

There are two different types of engineered timber flooring: Pre-finished and Unfinished. Engineered flooring comes in a variety of widths with different finishes and textures.

Pre-finished Engineered Flooring

3.JPGAs the name suggests this flooring comes finished. This means that once the floor is laid there is no sanding or coating that takes place. This is a real benefit as it speeds up the process and means that you will not need to move out as there is very little dust or odour.

Pre-finished flooring comes in many colours so it is as simple as selecting the colour that will suit your space. We can supply samples and advice on different textures in order to help you achieve the look that you are after.

Pre-finished flooring can either be installed as a floating floor over 2-4mm acoustic underlay, which is ideal for areas where it may need to be changed regularly such as shop fit outs, or can be glued in more permanent situations.

Unfinished Engineered Flooring:

This type of engineered flooring is supplied and installed unfinished. It comes pre-sanded but uncoated which means that you are able to pick the best colour for your space. As it comes pre-sanded, only a light sand is required making the process slightly quicker than using solid timber flooring.

In the future if anything happens to your floor, it can simply be sanded back and recoated giving you the look of a new floor again. If there is only a small part of the floor that is damaged we can easily repair the isolated area and blend it to match the existing flooring.
